FAQs
Business Insurance – what does the COVID19 outbreak mean for your Business Insurance?
Generally, this type of insurance is not one that business insurance policies can respond to. In addition, most insurers include a standard exclusion in their policy wordings regarding infectious diseases. COVID19 became publicly notifiable on 21 January 2020, hence any loss arising as a result of coronavirus would not be covered.
Health Insurance – Will your Health Insurance cover medical related expenses for treatment of COVID19?
Please contact your broker to find out whether your health policy covers the disease as Policy Coverage varies with different insurers.
Does Travel Insurance cover Costs associated with COVID19?
Travel Insurance helps to cover Unexpected Events. On 21 January 2020, COVID19 became a “named event”, which affects travel insurance coverage for trips booked and insurance purchased after this date. Please contact your VIB Broker for assistance and clarification on your Policy.
